By default, you’ll see all requests within a 25km radius of the location you chose for your profile. To give you more control over what’s shown in your feed, we added filters.
There are filters available for the location, budget and tag associated with requests. Let’s dive in.
If using the Helpfulpeeps iOS or Android app, first navigate to the Home screen by pressing the Home tab at the bottom left of your screen. Once there, press the Filters icon in the top left of your screen. This will open the Filters modal.
If using the Helpfulpeeps website, head to the Home screen by clicking the Home tab at the top left of your screen. Filters will be available in the bar below to the right of the Create request button.
Sometimes you might like to see what’s going on in another neighbourhood without switching your default location. The location filter allows you to do just that.
First open the location filters by selecting the Location tab (app) or button (website). From there, you can type a street name, city or postcode to search for a new place, or use the current location option if you prefer. Remember to Confirm or Set the location and finally press the Update filters button if using the iOS or Android app.
There are two types of requests on Helpfulpeeps: favours and paid requests. If you’re interested in one or the other, you might like to adjust the budget filter to meet your preferences.
Open the budget filters by selecting the Budget tab (app) or button (website). From there, you can add a minimum and maximum budget range. Remember to Confirm or Set the budget and finally press the Update filters button if using the iOS or Android app.
When members create requests, they have the option to add a tag to their request. This is used to notify relevant members behind the scenes, but can be helpful when filtering your feed too.
Open the tag filters by selecting the Tags tab (app) or button (website). From there, you can choose the tags you’re interested in. Remember to Confirm or Set the tags and finally press the Update filters button if using the iOS or Android app.
That was a whistle-stop tour of filters in Helpfulpeeps. A world of helping awaits!
